Position Title: Maintenance Technician Department: Facilities
Supervisor: Director of Facilities

Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilities:
- Ensures that all facilities meet or exceed established standards of sanitation, maintenance, and repair at all times
- May supervises client work crews:
- Serve as a role model for and reward pro-social behavior, sanction anti-social behavior, and ensure compliance with safety precautions, policies and procedures in the client handbook and adherence to work experience program rules.
- Maintenance Work Order(s)
- Creates & Incorporates employee and self-generated maintenance requests for repair.
- Coordinates with the Director of Facilities to prioritize the maintenance work orders & materials needed
- Facilitate repairs through personal work and supervision of work crews
- Responsible for inspection, completion and quality of work performed by work crews.
- Maintains an accurate, up-to-date inventory of all maintenance equipment and supplies
- Supply Request(s)
- Coordinates with the Director of Facilities on pending supply requests & materials needed
- Facilitates stocking Supply Requests through personal work and supervision of work crews
- Responsible for inspection, completion and quality of work performed by work crews.
- Maintains an accurate, up-to-date inventory of all supplies and regulations.
Purchasing and Contractor Relations:
- Coordinates with Supervisor on maintenance/repair/supply budget and all procurements.
- Ensures proper purchasing and agency procedures are followed in the procurement of all building and grounds supplies, repair, and maintenance as well as outside purchased services
- Responsible for ensuring proper procedures are followed in the procurement of food, commodity, sundry, and cleaning supplies
- Responsible for all transportation and/or physical delivery of all supplies or materials needed to be transported in company vehicles.
Safety and Security:
- Verifies Agency Daily Chore Check Lists (Created by Resident Advocates) are completed and accurate
- Responsible for reporting deficiencies to Supervisor & RA Supervisor
- Assist Facility Administration Coordinator in case of facility emergencies and ensures responsible back-up is available in order to take corrective action as necessary
- Responsible for the implementation of key control plan;
- Responsible for use and documentation of agency transportation equipment
- Mileage log
- Weekly Vehicle inspection log
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Good customer service skills
- Able to deal with a high volume of work
- Ability to complete paperwork in a timely manner
- Skills in general building maintenance
- Skills in areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry
- Able to prioritize work orders and schedule jobs
- Ability to assess maintenance-related problems and troubleshoot them
- Knowledge of local, state, federal and OSHA standards.
- Ability to work independently, without supervision.
- Ability to cope effectively with crisis situations.
- Knowledge of cleaning products and procedures
- Good mechanical and maintenance skills.
- Regular Use of & Safety Requirements of:
- Machine Operated Equipment & Power Tools:
- Circle Saws, Drills, Staple Guns, Snow Blowers, Law Mowers, Floor Scrubbers & Floor Strippers, etc.
Organization skills:
- Time management and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent People skills are a MUST
Credentials/Academic Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least five (5) years experience in facilities maintenance
- Must have a valid driver's license approved by our insurance agency

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
