Salary : $70,000 - $85,000/year, based on experience
Job Description
Industrial Talent Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support production by maintaining and optimizing equipment and performing occasional facility upkeep. This position primarily focuses on maximizing operational efficiency and minimizing production downtime. The ideal candidate will bring strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems and be comfortable with basic facility repairs when needed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment such as press brakes, saws, laser cutters, and overhead cranes.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Perform regular testing and calibration of equipment to maintain quality standards.
- Address equipment breakdowns promptly, identifying and replacing faulty parts as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs for continuous improvement.
- Carry out minor facility repairs, including HVAC, plumbing, and lighting upkeep.
- Service hydraulic systems as required.
- Perform routine maintenance around the facility, such as fixing structural damages (windows, doors, overhead doors, or walls).
- Assist with facility inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate with external contractors for extensive facility repairs when necessary.
- Ensure maintenance areas, tools, and storage spaces are clean and safe.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in plumbing for handling leaks, clogs, and drainage issues.
- Electrical experience with low voltage, 240V, and 480V systems, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- 4+ years of maintenance experience, focusing on production or manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
- Familiarity with diagnostic equipment, basic welding, and hand/power tools.
- Basic knowledge of facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, kneel, and work in various conditions.
- Knowledge of PLCs, experience with automated machinery, and a willingness to learn basic facility maintenance tasks.
