Malace|HR is seeking an a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team and oversee the repair and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting and diagnostics, with a focus on identifying and resolving electrical problems. They will also have experience in conducting preventive maintenance and adhering to electrical codes and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify electrical problems and determine the cause of malfunctions or breakdowns.
- Inspect electrical systems, use testing equipment, and interpret wiring diagrams to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as switches, outlets, circuit breakers, motors, and lighting fixtures.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure proper functioning and identify potential issues.
- Adhere to local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations to maintain compliance and promote safe working conditions.
- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians, such as HVAC technicians, plumbers, or carpenters, to troubleshoot electrical issues that may arise in conjunction with their work.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and installations performed, as well as maintain an inventory of electrical supplies and equipment.
- Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in electrical technology, safety practices, and regulations through ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a maintenance electrician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment and tools for diagnostics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
- Availability to work in an on-call rotation or respond to emergency electrical repairs when needed.
