The diversity of our operations has recently created an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician located at our Enfield, CT Distribution Center. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 7 am -3:30 pm.
Responsibilities:- Maintain and enhance automation systems within the distribution environment.
- Support the development and implementation of automation projects.
- Diagnose and repair advanced issues with automation systems, including PLCs, sensors, and drives.
- Perform routine maintenance on automated machinery to ensure optimal operation.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to assess system performance and resolve technical issues.
- Install, configure, and test new automation equipment and systems.
- Assist in commissioning automated machinery and ensure proper integration with other systems.
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using ladder logic and other programming languages.
- Optimize the performance of automated systems to improve production efficiency and quality.
- Identify opportunities for process automation improvements and recommend innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with teams to design and implement modifications or upgrades to existing systems.
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with automation systems, PLC programming, and robotic systems.
- Strong background in troubleshooting and maintaining complex manufacturing equipment.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
- Experience with robotics and control systems.
- Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be able to work in a distribution environment that includes noise, vibrations, and temperature variations.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in confined spaces as needed.
