Job Summary:
- The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs on facility equipment, and property structures, along with grounds maintenance, while ensuring compliance with EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA regulations.
Job Duties:
- Perform basic troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of electrical, vacuum, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on PLC systems as required.
- Maintain and troubleshoot processing and packaging equipment; assist with equipment installations.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, basic welding (stainless steel and carbon steel), and repair building structures as needed.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, and perform precise measuring and cutting tasks.
- Adhere to GMPs in food manufacturing and handle additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of maintenance experience preferred; experience in meat manufacturing and knowledge of FSIS/USDA regulations are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency with basic math concepts, including fractions and percentages.
- Ability to interpret varied instructions (written, oral, diagrammatic, etc.) and maintain a positive work environment.
- Comfortable working in cold, loud environments, with physical strength to lift 50 pounds, and capable of extended standing, stooping, and bending.
