About the Job
- Assists in the repair and maintenance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery and equipment.
- Assists in dismantling, assembling and installing industrial machinery
- Repairs and replaces defective parts and components. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts and components.
- Maintains records of planned and completed maintenance from work orders, repairs, PM program, etc.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Performs preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment according to company procedures.
- Maintains inventory on supplies and spare parts.
- Set up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts.
- Participate in plant safety related activities.
- Participate and work on continuous improvement projects as assigned.
- Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Technical Experience: Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming. Ability to read electrical drawings and trace down electrical issues on industrial equipment. Experience in LC / Electrical / Hydraulic Troubleshooting
Degree/ Certification: Prefer Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. One of the following or combination strongly preferred: Journeyman Electrician or Certified Maintenance Professional or other applicable certified field required.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access (MPS Data Base). Experience with steel fabrication and MIG welding strongly preferred.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to read blue prints and electrical schematics.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Able to walk long distances.
- Able to work at elevated heights.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
