Primary Objective of Maintenance Tech III Position
To keep hotel facilities heat, power, airconditioning, and refrigeration in optimum operating condition by performingpreventative maintenance and repairs on hotel power plant machinery
Responsibilities
- Maintainsheating/ventilating/air conditioning equipment in optimal operating conditionby performing routine maintenance and repairs
- Replacesfilters and bearings
- Repairsmotors and shafts as necessary
- Adjusts airconditioning air pressure as necessary
- Preventscostly machine breakdowns by lubricating equipment as needed
- Operates,maintains and repairs boilers to provide desired heating throughout the hotel
- Maintainsappropriate level of water chemicals in boilers closed and open systems
- Insures thathotel is supplied with adequate power by reading and operating gas, water, andelectrical meters
- Recordsutility meter readings and monitors daily usage
- Works in asafe manner and maintains cleanliness and order in the hotel's power plantareas
- Keeps adequatelevel of supplies required for hotel maintenance and notifies supervisor ofequipment and supply requirements
- Attendsschools or seminars to remain current on proper techniques
- Works withoutside contractors as necessary to assist them in performing maintenance orconstruction jobs
- Attends toand/or calls to attention of supervisor any maintenance or operating problemswhich affect the security or operating condition of the hotel
- Cooperateswith insurance underwriters and/or the fire department in regular inspectionsof hotel
- Contributesto hotel's preparedness during fire emergencies by participating in the hotelfire brigade
- Handlesmaster keys in accordance with our standards for the overall safety of thehotel
