General Technologies, Inc., has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician with experience working with maintenance on Injection Molding Machines on 3rd Shift (10:45am - 7:15pm)
Maintenance Technicians are responsible for maintaining production and facility equipment to include installation, setup, preventative maintenance and adjustments as needed by technical service instruction.
Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
- Proficient at troubleshooting problems and finding solutions to reoccurring issues
- Efficiently perform work duties in compliance to job priority
- Must be familiar with electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Must be able to complete jobs assignment in a timely manner
- Must have good mechanical skills and familiar with welding
- Must be familiar with grinders and conveyor systems
- Must be familiar with a preventative maintenance system
- Must have some plumbing experience and experience with running electrical
- Inspects and tests machinery and equipment to detect causes of malfunctions
- Dismantles machinery and equipment to gain access and perform diagnosis
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, pulleys, gears, bearing, bushing, etc.
- Repairs hoses, wiring, valves, etc., reassembles and verifies proper function
- Analyzes fault reports and service requests from personnel
- Effectively communicate with manager and coworkers
- Maintains meticulous housekeeping with regard to work areas, tool, company vehicles and other company equipment to continually reflect the high standards of the company
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by manager
- Inspects and repairs building; including replacing light bulbs and electronic ballasts fuses, outlets, switches, and other defective parts
- Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintains all building systems such as HVAC, pumps, chillers, air compressor, plumbing and electrical
- Must have the ability to change vacuum filter and check oil level on machines
- Must be able to perform inspection of hydraulic hose and valves for oil leaks
- Perform all duties pertaining to maintenance technician and maintenance helper
- Reports to Maintenance Supervisor/Lead
Requirements:
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Must be able to take daily instructions from other supervisors/leads
- Experience with extruders and grinders
- Must be familiar with pumps and valves
- Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints
- Ability to troubleshoot VFD and PLC
- Must have the ability to learn at a reasonable rate
- Electrical and hydraulic knowledge is required
- Preform general housekeeping
- Bilingual is a plus but not required
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance on injection molding machines
- Experience in automation is required
- Physical stamina and strength
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be flexible; able to work extended hours and weekends when required
- Attendance must be 98% or better
- Must be able to read and write
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
Schedule:
- 3rd Shift - Monday-Friday, 10:45pm-7:15am (May have to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed)
- $2.00/hour shift differential
