Overview:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs on injection molding equipment, robots, setups, changeovers, adjustments, maintenance, repair and operations of various types of assembly, subassembly, printing, and/or packaging machines. The company scope includes scientific injection molding processing operations and automation equipment in the manufacture of components and devices into FDA regulated markets. This is a high-speed and a controlled manufacturing environment (CME).
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs on injection molding equipment, robots, setups, changeovers, adjustments, maintenance, repair and operations of various types of assembly, subassembly, printing, and/or packaging machines. The company scope includes scientific injection molding processing operations and automation equipment in the manufacture of components and devices into FDA regulated markets. This is a high-speed and a controlled manufacturing environment (CME).
Shift & Pay:
- Opening on days (6am-6pm) Opening on nights (6pm-6am)
- 12 hour shifts 2/2/3
- 30-33/hr+ based on experience (plus 10% shift premium for night shift)
Responsibilities:
- Read, use and interpret measuring devices, gauges and inspection tools
- Perform all required necessary preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment
- Perform and document inspections per cGMP for work instruction sheet, on device history sheet records, and work instruction sheet tables
- Diagnose and troubleshoot any pneumatic, electrical or mechanical malfunction on a variety of machines
- Adjusts assembly machine units for major/minor lot production operations following department specification
- Repair and maintain electrical controls on equipment (molding, assembly and packaging machines), including servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines and devices primarily on the basis of electronic principles
- Repair robot arms and controls, including replacing bad boards, motors, encoders, etc.
- Perform weekly, monthly and as required preventive maintenance (PM)
- Must be able to fluently operate presses, robots and auxiliary equipment to diagnose malfunctions, and to verify repairs.
Required Education/Preferred Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ or more years of experience in a technical, hands-on position
- Experience with injection molding a plus
- Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (AB, Koyo, Omron, Mitsubishi, etc.) preferred
