Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of residential and commercial properties owned by Communities First, Inc. The individual will work closely with the team to deliver high-quality maintenance services and uphold the overall standards of Communities First, Inc.
Essential Functions:
- Receives direction and priorities from Facilities and Maintenance Manager, assigns tasks, help to coordinates work projects and the work of other personnel (internal and external).
- Performs general maintenance, repair of buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds.
- Ensures that buildings and equipment are maintained in a safe, clean and orderly condition in accordance with all applicable regulations.
- Maintains maintenance inventory records and files.
- Prepares reports; monitors and prioritizes maintenance schedules to assure tasks are performed in a timely manner.
- Cleans and repairs structures such as floors, toilets, sinks, walls, roofs, stairways, and carpets.
- Contacts appropriate outside agencies as needed to schedule service/inspections by trained personnel.
- Obtains required permits as appropriate.
- Arranges for disposal of hazardous waste and chemicals.
- Coordinates several projects simultaneously.
- Forecasts issues and plans accordingly--preventative maintenance.
- Adheres to safety practices and procedures.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with other staff and vendors.
- Promotes and builds good working relationships with staff of Communities First, Inc.
Education:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
Other:
- Possess a valid Drivers License

Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products, emails, group messaging, data collection, internet and other database and spreadsheet programs.
