- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- 3 years of maintenance technician experience.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
Preferred Qualifications
- Have at least 3 years maintenance experience with PLC Systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and electrical repair.
- Formal PLC training and/or extensive hands on PLC experience.
- Experience in ultra high vacuum systems is an asset.
- Experience with man lifts (scissor and boom) and forklifts is an asset.
- Must possess reading, writing, and basic math skills.
- Understand precision measuring instruments, electrical or electronic testing devices, drawings and schematics, equipment user manuals, activity and task instructions.
- Basic computer skills required. Advanced skills are desirable.
Essential Functions
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and repairs in order to ensure that all equipment continues to run effectively and facility systems operate efficiently and reliably.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotic machinery, combustion systems, electrical and electronic equipment.
- Install, assemble, rebuild and repair all types of equipment and support all facilities infrastructure.
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment.
- Participate in projects and planning events. Interface with suppliers and lead contracting activities. Use Computer Maintenance Management System.
- Responsible for identifying, specifying and using spare and replacement parts.
- Participate, lead and actively support all necessary training, EHS, Human Performance, and company or department objectives.
- This position requires availability for shift and weekend work. Holiday and emergency coverage are also required.
