We operate 24 hours/day and 365 days/year. For this position we are looking for someone with availability around the hours of 6:00am- 2:30pm.

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for performing routine and non-routine types of preventive and on-going maintenance (this includes repairs in the areas of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and machine servicing).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.
- Follow appropriate equipment/tool repair and maintenance guidelines for preventive and routine maintenance to assure product quality, availability and freshness according to department standards.
- Ensure established equipment, parts and service manuals inventory guidelines are followed; maintain ongoing inventory report of equipment, parts and service manuals to ensure accurate accounting.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair work needed to ensure equipment, work tools, facility, etc., are in good/safe working order following company, city, state and federal regulations with regard to work practices.
- Maintain equipment, parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
- Perform equipment and building preventative maintenance following established schedule.
- Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area ensuring workspace and storage areas are free from debris and clutter at all times. Report unsafe work environment to management.
OTHER JOB DUTIES (Not considered essential to the job)
- Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education
- Required: Completion of two-year technical degree or equivalent knowledge
- Desired: Bachelor's degree; automation technology packaging and manufacturing system graduation certification
- Licensing Required:
- Certification in one or more maintenance related trade (including refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, millwright, plumbing, machining, etc.)
- Forklift/scissor lift certification (ability to obtain and maintain)
- Boiler's license (ability to obtain and maintain Special Engineering license at a minimum)
- Hazwoper certification (ability to obtain and maintain)
- Lock out/tag out (LOTO) (ability to obtain and maintain)
- Experience:
- Five or more years' experience in packaging and food processing repair and troubleshooting
- Experience with CMMS and PM systems desired
- HVAC and ammonia system experience

- Ability to follow all food, personal, safety and sanitation guidelines including hand washing, wearing proper uniform, sanitizing, repairing, maintaining equipment and tools to guard against contamination, and assure all product is safe for consumption
- Ability to maintain compliance with USDA, FDA, OSHA, AIB and all other regulatory agencies while complying with good manufacturing practices
- Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
- Ability to weld with MIG, TIG & STICK
- Ability to work without supervision
- Computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and understand instructions, equipment manuals, mechanical and electrical schematics and blueprints as well as food safety, sanitation and safety procedures
- Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of equipment and tools in a food manufacturing facility
- Knowledge of facility maintenance and HVAC systems
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
- Strong mechanical, electrical and equipment troubleshooting abilities and skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to provide own tools
- Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English
