Maintenance Technician/Mechanic - CB1 - M Job Description
6-4pm M-F and open for OT and weekends as needed
Salary Starting at 25/hr plus.
OVERVIEW: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the correct maintenance of all equipment and work areas in a Class 1 division environment.
REPORTS TO: Lead Maintenance Technician
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform preventative maintenance on facility's building and equipment. Including air cooled chiller, water-based fire suppression system, diesel power generation system, diaphragm-based liquid transfer systems, low voltage up to 480v electrical, media mill, mixers, dissolvers, vacuum based solvent distillation system, pulse jet dust collector, various material handling systems, and HVAC systems. Ability to comprehend the use of specialized manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance processes. Assist and/or repair, replace of equipment as needed, through the skillful and safe use of hand and/or power tools. Including multimeters, meggers, cordless and corded power tools (drills, hammer drills, Sawzall, porta band saw, grinders, etc.), and infrared cameras. Perform LOTO, Hot Work, and NEC 70e procedures. Clean equipment and work areas to maintain 5S at the facility. Apply health, safety and environmental procedures including generation and handling of hazardous waste, prevention of storm water contamination and pollution minimization. Follow all Axalta policies, rules, and procedures. Successfully complete all training requirements to attain required level of expertise in routine maintenance tasks and procedures. Utilize standard personal computer skills in documenting daily work and using Axalta's computer-based applications (and standard Microsoft applications) as required. Review and edit maintenance and operating procedures as required. Assist the Axalta's production team to troubleshoot problems and malfunctions as required. Provide support to outside contractors working in the facility as required.
