Job Purpose: Responsible for facility maintenance and housekeeping repairs including, but not limited to: electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, building equipment, carpentry, special projects, and other related areas of Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club.
Job Summary:
- Installs, modifies, and repairs related control systems, and other building control systems equipment.
- Electrical: Ballasts, bulbs, parking lot lights, outlet installation, dedicated circuits, and sign repair and maintenance.
- Plumbing: General plumbing including repairing leaking faucets, replacing washers faucets and seals on malfunctioning plumbing equipment; cleaning clogged drains, hot water heater repair/replacement, drain cleaning and snaking.
- Painting: Latex/oil-based paints, brush and roller applications, plaster, drywall repair. Interior and exterior jobs.
- Locks: Deadbolts, levers, all hardware, combination locks.
- Doors: Metal/wood, closers, hinges, sweeps, etc.
- IT: Installing computer hardware and cabling as needed and communicating with our technical support team to resolve telephone and data hardware and connectivity issues.
- HVAC: working knowledge of HVAC systems and repair and refrigeration systems.
- Furniture: Repair, drawers, adjustments, assembly.
- Oversees daily water checks on swimming/whirlpool water and filtering system for positive health protection.
- General Office: Ceiling tile replacement, changing filters, window cleaning, alarm updates, programming, and installations, hanging artwork and bulletin boards.
- Works with Maintenance Manager assisting remodeling of club areas.
- Assists in checking fire protection systems for proper operation and training personnel in their use.
- May perform complex repairs of system components such as compressors, heat pump regulators, fluid and refrigeration gas line valves, meters, gauges, thermostats, pumps, mechanical linkage, electrical sensing, switching, and controlling devices including pneumatic controls, variable speed drives, digital controlled devices.
- Review reading logs for all critical systems to ensure all systems are operating properly. Maintain a log for all equipment repairs.
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the operation of central building equipment, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and/or electronic systems.
- Experience & proven ability to repair building electrical, plumbing, & HVAC auxiliary systems.
- Experience & proven ability to safely secure hydronic and electrical systems for maintenance.
- Basic carpentry skills.
- Ability to write, execute written and oral instructions and perform arithmetic calculations.
- Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical for maintenance operations.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment: Must be able to lift 50 lbs., as well as stand for extended periods of time. Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, squatting.
Work Schedule and Hours: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary based on business levels. Weekends are required.
Pay Rate: This is an hourly position ranging from $31.00 - $35.00 per hours. Varies based on experience.
