Kingspan Insulation is searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician to work in the Winchester, VA location. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as the business continues to expand its U.S. operations. This position is responsible for the installation, modification, repair, and preventative maintenance of plant facilities and production equipment. 

Key Duties Include

Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance department preferred. Other mechanical or electrical experience will be considered. 

Requirements: 

• Strong mechanical aptitude. 

• Solid understanding of basic mechanics and electronics, with proficiency in applying this knowledge. 

• Basic electrical experience is needed, but proficiency in such is not mandatory. 

Skills and Abilities: 

• Ability to demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 

• Capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment. 

• Willingness to work overtime when necessary. 

• Ability to follow instructions and collaborate well with colleagues. 

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to communicate orally and written in English. 

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures by using basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).   

Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 

Certificate/License: Completion of basic electrical course work/certification is preferred, or the ability to obtain such In a reasonable amount of time after hire. Must have forklift operator license at time of hire/transfer or be able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire/transfer into job.
