A leading company in turn-key chemical blending, toll manufacturing, and private label packaging services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain plant equipment and systems. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical skills, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and experience in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment. Communicating effectively, the new team member will ensure operational efficiency by performing essential maintenance tasks and upholding safety standards while working closely with plant operators and team members.

Location: Pasadena, TX 77507
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the integrity of plant installations by following applicable specifications/standards, and using in-kind components, materials, and practices for repair and service work.
- Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and service plant buildings, grounds, piping, equipment, mechanical components and systems while complying with all safety and environmental requirements, industry and plant standards/codes, and best practices.
- Disassemble, troubleshoot, and repair of plant equipment (Pumps, Agitators, etc.).
- Participate in preventive maintenance program for plant equipment and machinery; identify equipment maintenance needs; record mechanical equipment readings; ensure accuracy of records kept.
- Participate in the installation of chemical plant mixing/blending/packaging equipment; participate in making modifications to equipment to meet production needs.
- Communicate and work effectively with Operators, other Maintenance Technicians, and Supervision while providing regular work status updates.
- Ensure and adhere to safe work practices and procedures including, but not limited to safe work permitting, lockout/tag out and confined space rules and regulations.
- Operate powered industrial truck (forklift).
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Comply with all company policies.
Requirements:
- Outstanding mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to speak, read, write. and understand the English language
- Ability to verbally communicate effectively
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing and/or chemical processing environment is preferred
- Strong, logical decision-making skills
- Experience with time management and multitasking
- Exhibits a sense of ownership and accountability
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to change
- Ability to work a minimum of an 8-hour shift & be on-call for emergency calls to repair equipment
- Basic Pipefitting Skills
- Basic Welding Skills preferred
- Basic Electrical Troubleshooting preferred
- Some familiarity with PLC system and instrumentation preferred
