Location: Booth Manor, 5522 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA
Availability of Position: Immediate
Schedule: Full-Time, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Reporting Relationship: Maintenance Manager; Maintenance Supervisor; Housing and Project Coordinator
Salary and Grade: $15.00 per hour; 74 Non-exempt

About Booth Manor: The Salvation Army Booth Manor is a 100 1-bedroom apartment complex facility that houses senior citizens 62 years and older. Booth Manor is located in the West Philadelphia section of Philadelphia. Booth Manor is a facility funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Description of Position:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the overall cleanliness and condition of the building and surrounding property. This will include a daily routine cleaning schedule of all common areas, trash removal, inspection of units / property, complete work orders, painting, preventative maintenance and care and upkeep.
Qualifications:Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Prior maintenance experience required. Must maintain a safe and sanitary workspace and follows all OSHA regulations. Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate well with people. Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check must have an understanding of, and appreciation for, the Mission of The Salvation Army.
