About the Job
Malace|HR is seeking an experienced Building and Machine Maintenance Technician to work onsite at an automotive manufacturer in Salem, VA. Will be responsible for building maintenance. The role pays $28-32/per hour, based on experience
Shifts Available:
- 1st shift, Monday-Friday
Technical Requirements:
Maintenance Tech
- Must have a high mechanical and electrical aptitude that can be demonstrated with standardized testing / or experience.
- The ideal candidate would have experience working within an industrial production and facility maintenance department.
- 5 years of Industrial Maintenance Experience preferred.
- Training equivalent to journeyman status or certification preferred.
- Experience performing work safely both indoors and outdoors.
- Documented experience troubleshooting and repairing Pumps, Piping, Air Compressors, HVAC and Fan Systems, Overhead hoists, various other Industrial Manufacturing Equipment.
- Must have a high mechanical and electrical aptitude that can be demonstrated with standardized testing / or experience.
- Experience and willingness working weekends.
- Experience and ability to safely lift items up to 70 lbs.
- Experience working in hot and damp environments, wearing PPE, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and standing/walking for extended periods of time.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Detail oriented, good organizational skills, able to manage time and priorities to assist with multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with peers, management, subordinates, and corporate resources to positively impact performance.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic drawings.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced Production environment.
- MIG, and TIG Welding, desirable.
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic equipment experience.
- Ability to work on both mechanical and electrical systems as needed.
- Experience completing JHA and identifying work hazards.
