Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely support on work orders as directed by the Director of Maintenance.
- Prepare vacant rooms quickly to welcome new residents, maintaining community occupancy and standards.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, and more.
- Manage and maintain safety standards, including fire codes and key control.
- Ensure community grounds are clean, and perform light landscaping duties.
- Actively maintain compliance with Life Safety standards across all campuses.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and code compliance.
- Organization & Prioritization: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while meeting maintenance goals.
- Community Focused: Committed to acting in the best interest of residents, working collaboratively with team members, and responding to concerns quickly.
- Adaptability: You bring a positive attitude and willingness to help where needed, even outside regular hours on occasion.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Strong communication skills and fluent in English.
- Physical capability to lift up to 80 lbs. and perform tasks that require bending, squatting, climbing, and more.
- Understanding of safety codes and compliance requirements.
Physical Demands: In an 8-hour workday, the Maintenance Technician should expect to be active:
- Standing/Walking: 6-8 hours
- Lifting/Carrying: Frequently up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 80 lbs
- Bending, Squatting, Kneeling, and Climbing: Frequently
