Key Responsibilities:

• Provide timely support on work orders as directed by the Director of Maintenance.
• Prepare vacant rooms quickly to welcome new residents, maintaining community occupancy and standards.
• Perform general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, and more.
• Manage and maintain safety standards, including fire codes and key control.
• Ensure community grounds are clean, and perform light landscaping duties.
• Actively maintain compliance with Life Safety standards across all campuses.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and code compliance.
• Organization & Prioritization: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while meeting maintenance goals.
• Community Focused: Committed to acting in the best interest of residents, working collaboratively with team members, and responding to concerns quickly.
• Adaptability: You bring a positive attitude and willingness to help where needed, even outside regular hours on occasion.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Strong communication skills and fluent in English.
• Physical capability to lift up to 80 lbs. and perform tasks that require bending, squatting, climbing, and more.
• Understanding of safety codes and compliance requirements.

Physical Demands: In an 8-hour workday, the Maintenance Technician should expect to be active:

• Standing/Walking: 6-8 hours
• Lifting/Carrying: Frequently up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 80 lbs
• Bending, Squatting, Kneeling, and Climbing: Frequently
