Job Title: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Efficiently and effectively provide maintenance support in order to meet the needs of customers, both internal and external, while maintaining a safe and clean work environment for employees. Provide technical expertise to support daily operations and achieve significant improvement in production-related objectives.
Responsibilities
+ Actively work on and engage with all department projects, tasks, and objectives.
+ Manage configuration and versions of programmable devices, hardware, and systems such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), vision camera systems, barcode scanners, intelligent sensors and devices, PC-based machine control systems, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) level systems.
+ Perform corrective and preventative maintenance repairs on a wide variety of electrical, mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical production equipment and building systems.
+ Assist with the setup and setup operator activities, installation, and setup of new equipment.
+ Troubleshoot breakdowns of hydraulic, pneumatic, and high-voltage electrical systems without assistance.
+ Work from layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches, drawings, or verbal instructions.
+ Troubleshoot and diagnose CNC equipment, perform maintenance, repair, and calibration on equipment such as control systems of numerically controlled machines (CNC), and conduct operational tests and repairs.
+ Adhere strictly to safety procedures and critical facility work rules, including proper chemical handling procedures, local codes, cooling systems, and chillers.
+ Ensure the work environment is clean, orderly, and free of safety hazards.
+ Complete all required safety program objectives and training.
+ Take an active part in cost reduction and continuous improvement programs.
+ Maintain the highest ethical standards, personal and intellectual integrity, mature judgment, and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
+ Other activities as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with automation equipment.
+ Electrical, mechanical, and PLC troubleshooting experience.
+ Knowledge of CNC equipment and repair.
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Twenty-four to thirty-six months of trade school or equivalent experience preferred.
+ Effective communication skills in oral and written form with operators, Team Leads, and Engineers.
+ Ability to work independently with a high degree of quality and reliability.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and ability to use a PC and email.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
+ Ability to lift 50 pounds manually and repetitively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of safe work practices and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
+ Familiarity with typical mechanics hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical test equipment such as multimeters.
+ Ability to work from layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches, drawings, or verbal instructions.
+ Experience with SCADA level systems.

Work Environment
Manufacturing environment: very clean but not temperature controlled. Standard shifts are 1st shift from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, and 3rd shift from Sunday to Thursday 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. Currently, Saturday work is required until the pandemic situation improves.
