Job Posting: Maintenance Technician
Location: Sparta, IL
Hourly Pay Rate: $25 - $30
Shifts: 2nd and 3rd shifts (opportunity to move to 1st shift when available)

Requirements:

• High School/GED and 3-5 years related experience
• Certificate from a technical/trade school or relevant work experience to qualify for industrial journeyman status in electrical, electronic, or mechanical fields
• Must pass BMCT testing and a drug screen (including marijuana)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Siemens PLC experience
• Experience working in the die casting industry

Job Responsibilities:
 

• Provide electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic repair and maintenance support, including some fabrication
• Perform various support activities for die maintenance and machine shop functions
• Demonstrate core operating values and code of conduct through actions and behaviors

Specific Duties Include:

• Repair and maintain electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of operating die cast machines, including preventive and predictive maintenance
• Operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, saws, hand tools, meters, gauges, micrometers, and computers
• Program PLCs for die cast machines and trim press operations, and perform electronic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting
• Provide support to die maintenance and machine shop work areas
• Communicate with supervisors and other shift leaders to ensure continuity of ongoing projects, repairs, and maintenance
• Adhere to company safety procedures and OSHA requirements
• Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and interaction with coworkers, supervisors, customers, and others important to company operations
• Perform other duties as assigned
