Maintenance Technician
Do you consider yourself a jack of all trades? Are you looking for a change of pace? If so, we are looking for an energetic Maintenance Technician who is entrepreneurial-minded and has the ability to run their own schedule. Prior experience with apartment or home maintenance is preferred. The perfect candidate would be someone who is looking to grow with us as we grow our rental portfolio of single and multi-family homes in the Greater Springfield area.
Position hours are Monday through Friday with some weekend availability to handle emergency calls. A company vehicle is provided for driving around the Greater Springfield area to rental units.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnosing and completing tenant work orders within property management application.
- Scheduling of upkeep on vacant rentals such as mowing, snow removal, etc.
- May perform some minor landscape repairs or adjustments and property clean-up services.
- Conduct move-out walks with tenants and discuss applicable charges.
- Prepare and confirm rental homes are move-in ready for tenants.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with the team, subcontractors, and tenants.
- Perform additional supportive duties as needed.
PREREQUISITES FOR SUCCESS:
- Knowledge and skill in general home maintenance (troubleshooting issues with appliances, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc).
- Ability to function effectively in a customer service atmosphere.
- Enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, adapting quickly to learn and improve over time
- A natural sense of urgency and a lets get it done" attitude.
- Above-average aptitude for technology and office equipment/software applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Effective time management and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining all deadlines and critical date obligations.
- Clean driver's record and valid (or able to attain) Missouri driver's license
- Must be physically able to lift 25+ lbs.
