Maintenance Technician
Full-Time
This position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and preventative tasks, with a specialty in maintaining low-voltage systems throughout the building.
Specific duties include:
- Perform general maintenance as needed throughout the building including low-voltage electrical work, carpentry, drywall, painting, etc.
- Plan, layout, and order materials as necessary for general maintenance, construction work, and to maintain low-voltage systems.
- Perform preventative general maintenance on equipment to avoid equipment failure and downtime.
- Maintain general maintenance on low-voltage systems in the building such as, camera, security system, and related equipment. Install updates as needed to maintain a safe and secure network.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain a security system, including card readers, cameras, and cabling. Adjust the security system and door locks as requested.
- Program all information in the security system, including time zones, access levels, pictures and data for ID badges. Maintain all hub rooms and update wiring diagrams and labeling as changes occur.
- Troubleshoot and maintain the RF scanners in the Distribution Center.
- Work in a safe manner following all company safety procedures and using all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for the job being performed.
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics and estimate materials for a job.
- Must have strong computer skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team positively.
- Willingness to perform duties safely.
- Must have a valid driver's license to drive company vehicles listed below.
- Must be able to use the tools/equipment/machines listed below.
- Experience with general maintenance and working with low-voltage systems.
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Three years of related experience and/or training.
