Co-operative Plating – Maintenance Technician
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our plating and anodizing shop. The chosen candidate will be joining our team to help install and maintain equipment to add process capabilities and to preserve the condition of our existing building and equipment.The successful candidate needs to have a good work ethic, positive outlook and a passion for well run equipment.
Hourly Wage $25.00-$34.00
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Repair mechanical, and electrical systems as requested (bearings, electrical motors, up to 5 HP pumps, water filter systems, RO water systems, rectifiers, fans, low pressure boilers, hoists, forklifts, etc.)
- Correctly layout, mount and assemble PVC, steel and stainless ½” to 2” piping for incoming water, waste water, steam, condensate and compressed air.
- Layout and fabricate steel and stainless steel welded fixtures for various production jobs and equipment mounts.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning and availability of equipment, as requested
- Perform equipment calibrations to specifications
- Conduct general building upkeep procedures (carpentry, painting, etc.)
- Work diligently along with Operations teams to ensure all equipment is tested and working in a safe and proper manner
- Other duties and responsibilities as requested and needed
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven experience maintaining and repairing equipment listed above such as pumps, boilers, steam condensate lines, hoists, industrial ovens,
- 110V/220V electrical wiring, electrical junction boxes
- Threading and gluing steel & PVC piping
- Stick and wirefeed welding of steel stainless steel and aluminum
- Low pressure boiler license a plus
- Experience laying out and welding structural walkway supports and other items
- Experience handling hazardous chemicals is helpful
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Ability to keep tools, equipment and supplies clean and well organized.ds
- Good organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions
- Upbeat, positive personality.
- Company and job-specific training will be provided as needed throughout employment
- Ability to work well and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.
- Ability to maintain a regular and reliable attendance record
- Ability to read and speak basic English
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing facility environment.

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift plus ½ hour lunch
- Periodic on-call and weekend availability for emergencies

License/Certification:
- Driver's License
- Low pressure boiler license (Preferred)
