JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance within the facility as well as new project planning and implementation. This position may supervise custodial staff and direct the work of others, including outside contractors.
JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee installation of, modification to, and maintenance activities on machines, equipment, and building systems to ensure continuous production operations.
- Coordinate response to equipment repair requests by performing maintenance as necessary.
- Ensure completion of preventative maintenance and repair logs for each piece of equipment, conducting routine inspections to ensure optimum performance and conformance with safety and operational standards.
- Supervise the routine maintenance performed on printing and embroidery equipment, ensuring operators are adequately trained in maintenance basics.
- Maintain files on blueprints, maintenance records, and machinery and equipment manuals.
- Cross-train designated personnel on all facets of equipment and building maintenance.
- Chair the Safety Committee and ensure proper implementation of appropriate safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Order and maintain inventory of supplies needed for the department(s).
- Be flexible and willing to work the necessary hours to meet deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned or dictated by the needs of the business.
- Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the property grounds.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Education and/or experience in facility management of production plant operations required. At least 3 years of mechanical experience preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, interpret orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Industry experience helpful
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
