Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Tampa, Florida
Job Overview: As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the proper operations and maintenance of commercial properties. You will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, carrying out repairs, and implementing preventative maintenance measures. Attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a customer-centric approach are essential to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to identify and resolve any issues promptly.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, including filter replacements, lubrication, and equipment cleaning.
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently to minimize operational disruptions.
- Repair and troubleshoot facility equipment, including lighting systems, HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical circuits.
- Perform minor carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs as needed.
- Work closely with the Property Manager to ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment inventories.
- Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and other general property maintenance tasks.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency maintenance requests.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills to document maintenance activities.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed.
