About the Job
The Resource is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our client, a global leader in the manufacturer of transfer switches, paralleling switchgear, power control, load banks and surge devices, located in Welcome, NC! This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity that offers a pay rate of $22.39 per hour, and has a 3rd shift schedule (10:30pm- 7:00am). The Maintenance Technician would be responsible for performing preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates as intended, support maintenance activities and projects, and provide general maintenance and housekeeping. Ideal candidates for this role should have a general mechanical background, knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic operating systems, and have the ability to work independently. Responsibilities:
- Work with all employees to ensure equipment operates as intended
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates as intended
- See that all hazardous materials and waste products are handled in accordance with all regulations
- Assist in relaying out and moving plant areas to promote World Class programs
- Complete all other tasks as defined by the Plant Maintenance Supervisor and Engineering manager
- Responsible for facilities maintenance as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum High School diploma with technical courses beyond high school and three (3) or more years of related experience
- General mechanical background is required
- Must have knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic operating systems
- Must have ability to work independently as a team member
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting
- Prefer to have some industrial electrical background working with electrical circuits
