POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction and supervision of the Environmental Service Director participates in all activities related to the establishment, maintenance, and driving of the Medical Van.
Role Responsibilities-Resident Dignity: Job Knowledge and Role Responsibilities:
Reports to work when scheduled. Attends all mandatory inservices by employee’s anniversary date.
Carries out and follows all facility policies and procedures in regard to the operation of the maintenance department.
Acts appropriately under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor or Director of Environmental Services and acts as part of the interdisciplinary team.
Performs routine checks on major systems such as auxiliary generator, fire alarms, door alarms, nurse call system and departmental equipment.
Corrects all damages to hallways, walls, ceiling, floors, roof, and resident rooms as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Assists with the performance of any or all duties concerned with electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, including furniture refinishing or repair, mechanics including equipment and mechanical systems, heating, cooling, and water systems; except those services performed under outside service contracts.
Maintains outside yard and sidewalks including mowing, trimming, raking, salting, shoveling and sanding.
Services all mechanical equipment as assigned.
Performs on-call responsibilities in the event of mechanical failure or emergency.
