You will perform a variety of tasks which involve the upkeep and repair of the Lodge facility. Your work will make an impact and support how our organization serves the best customer - our Military patrons and their families. So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed? o Conducts preventative maintenance and takes periodic inventory of maintenance stock and equipment. o Performs general carpentry, painting, plumbing tasks & electrical involved in the alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings or equipment. o Follows all local safety regulations. Informs supervisor of hazardous conditions. o Operates motor vehicle in the performance of the duties. The Qualifiers: o Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties. o Is required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring or uncomfortable positions. o Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds. o Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors. o Must possess a valid state driver's license and pass a pre-employment criminal & motor vehicle background check. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE Three years of maintenance work in involving painting plumbing carpentry and electrical repairs. Possession of a valid state commercial driver s license CDL and the ability to meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements and pass a pre- employment drug screening possession of a CDL with a class B endorsement if assigned to operate a vehicle with a gross weight of at least 26 000 lbs. even on an occasional basis. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Driving trucks and similar equipment. Standing stooping bending kneeling climbing and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts and carries material weighing up to 50 pounds.
