Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our maintenance team in our high-tech manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various equipment independently and as part of a team. This position will involve both proactive and reactive maintenance tasks, with a focus on ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency of plant equipment. The successful candidate will take direction from the Maintenance Manager and perform preventive maintenance tasks while supporting general plant upkeep.

The successful candidate will take direction from the Maintenance Manager and perform preventive maintenance tasks while supporting general plant upkeep.
Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, including installations, wiring, control boards, fuse panels, and disconnect boxes.
- Maintain and repair mechanical systems such as gears, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment longevity and prevent unscheduled downtime.
- React quickly to real-time equipment failure and production needs, minimizing downtime.
- Perform general building maintenance, including plumbing, lighting, painting, and servicing plant amenities (water filters, lab equipment, etc.).
- Assist with welding and fabrication work, including cutting, welding, and assembly as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the maintenance shop and throughout the facility.
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members to address facility needs.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts used.
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in electrical systems, including installation and repair of cabling, disconnect boxes, fuse panels, control boards, and related components.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance, including the repair of gears, bearings, grease fittings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Experience with plumbing maintenance and general building upkeep.
- Welding skills (cutting, welding, and fabrication).
- Familiarity with tools such as calipers, oscilloscopes, manual and electrical hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in electrical or mechanical maintenance preferred.
- Valid electrician's license or similar qualifications preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in tight spaces for extended periods of time.
