Scheduled Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
Hourly Rate: $36.81 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic and screening mammograms using state-of-the-art equipment. You will play a key part in patient care by delivering high-quality imaging services, ensuring patient comfort, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Prepare patients for mammographic procedures by explaining the procedure, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort.
- Utilize AIDET to communicate effectively with patients, identifying service requirements and establishing rapport.
- Maintain patient records, including verifying and documenting requisitions, patient history, and all other relevant documentation.
- Ensure proper equipment functionality by performing routine quality checks and reporting any issues to the management.
- Adhere to infection control and radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
- Maintain sterile techniques when performing procedures and assist with maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure optimal care standards.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an Accredited Program of Radiology Technology.
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
- Registered radiologic technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for Radiography (R) and Mammography (M).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Mammography Technologist is preferred.
