Job Overview - Mammography Technologist:
Join our healthcare client as a Mammography Technologist, where you'll conduct mammography exams, ensuring patient safety and following radiation protocols. You'll play a vital role in detecting and diagnosing breast cancer.

Location: Houston, TX
Compensation: $68,000 - $95,000/year
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Responsibilities as the Mammography Technologist:

• Mammography Exams: Perform radiographic exams while adhering to radiation safety protocols and ensuring technical quality of the images.
• Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and position them correctly. Administer contrast when necessary.
• Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance on mammography equipment and assist with accreditation applications as needed.
• Data Monitoring: Enter and monitor patient data and report equipment malfunctions or complaints to management.
• Emergency Call: Take emergency calls within the department when required.

Qualifications for the Mammography Technologist:

• Education: Accredited Radiologic and Mammography Technology program graduate.
• Experience: 2-3 years in Mammography roles required (Outpatient Imaging Center experience preferred).
• Licensure: Current or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT) required.
• Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS or ALS certifications required.
