Description
Performs medical mammograms in order to diagnose disease or trauma. Responsible for programming the machine for correct density, contrast, definition, magnification and distortion. Prepares, maintains and operates mammography equipment in a safe and responsible manner, following appropriate radiation safety guidelines. Performs and documents all QA/QC tests as defined by MQSA. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Mammography required within 1 year from date of hire.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Non Degree Program : Graduate from a two-year AMA approved radiologic technology program. (Required)
Experience
2 Years experience in a Radiologic Technologist position (Required)
1 Year experience in Mammography (Preferred)
License/Certifications
ARRT - Amer Reg Radiologic Technlgst (Required)
RT(R)(M) - Reg Technologist (R) (M) (Required)
BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
Hours: 4hrs Tues and Thurs. 8hrs Wed and Fri. - must be able to rotate between EH and NEC campuses
