U. S. Steel has an immediate opening for a Management Associate within the Process Control organization. This position will be responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting hardware and software of various different systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This is an entry level position on-premise position for someone starting their IT career.
• This position will involve installation, configuration, and support of mobile Windows clients installed on remote equipment.
• Responsibilities will also include basic networking configuration of various systems.
• The applicant will also help support and configure 3^rd party server software on Windows Server based OS’s.
• Applicant must have good communication skills to work with both on-site personnel and 3^rd party vendor systems for support.
• The applicant will translate business requirements into industrial solutions and interact with personnel throughout the organization both as an individual and in a team environment.

• Applicants with a minimum of an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or Equivalent Work Experience in the field of process control support will be considered.
• The applicant will be able to support hardware, software, and basic infrastructure requirements in a heavy industrial mining environment.
• Basic technology skills in IP networking and cabling support, Windows-based operating systems, server support, and storage management.
• Database and SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Must be a self-starter demonstrating excellent time management and organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize multiple work activities, and work safely and independently in a heavy industrial environment with a strong focus on customer service.
• Capable of providing oral and written communication interfaces with departmental management, operations management, operating crews, control system support personnel, external system support personnel, and others.
• This is a safety sensitive position requiring drug and alcohol testing.
