About the Job
The Manager of the Andersen Showcase is responsible for the management of the Andersen Showroom and all Andersen salespeople, Andersen purchasing, and Andersen IQ staff. This position provides sales strategy, strong leadership, superior relationship management, and creative problem solving.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership, guidance, advice and oversight to all inside and outside sales people working in the Andersen Showcase.
- With the Sales manager, deteremine department sales goals and strategy.
- Manage the physical Showroom and maintain proper coverage for the showcase.
- Perform annual performance reviews for all staff.
- Train new staff in the Showcase. Ensure ongoing education around new systems and product.
- Ensure that all showcase staff follow company policies and procedures.
- Work with showcase staff to develop and implement systems to streamline showcase procedures.
- Provide exceptional support to internal and external customers, and
- Support inside sales as needed (takeoffs; work with customers - show them product options, answer questions, make suggestions; schedule deliveries; filing; tracking and follow up on quotes and orders; coordinate service issues).
- Establish job pricing levels.
- Review and approve all final job estimates.
- BE familiar with competitor’s pricing and strategies.
- Provide regular reports to leadership team regarding sales progress, building permit analysis, business improvement plans for existing customer base, and prospect lists.
- Develop department improvement areas and service innovations to better serve customers while also reducing costs, shipping expenses, and errors.
- Work with Marketing Director to develop and implement department’s marketing plan.
- Maintain familiarity with building codes.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivelant. 5 – 8 years’ experience in the lumber builder industry – specific to window and door sales. Minimum 3 years’ management experience. Strong leadership skills and ability to work with people. Excellent customer service, communication skills and computer skills (Microsoft Office, experience with millwork quoting and point-of-sales software).
