- This job is a member of the Corporate Security Team within the Corporate Affairs Division.
- Reporting to the Sr. Manager Corporate Security, the Campus Manager is primarily responsible for security and protection of team members and visitors at American Airlines Skyview Campus and other satellite facilities with team members and sub-contractors across the enterprise.
What you'll do
- Manages insourced/outsourced security guard services for AA facilities; ensuring affordable, friendly and efficient service
- Provides day-to-day service and delivery guidance to security guard service site leaders and maintains positive relationships with outsourced security guard services Senior Executives
- Maintains positive working relationships with AA leaders at outsourced facilities and ensures that outsourced security contract site leaders also maintain positive and supportive relationships with AA leaders
- Develops and monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure daily delivery of post orders and implements changes to ensure continuous improvement
- Coordinates with AA Purchasing to consolidate security guard service contracts under the Corporate Security span of care and ensure all security guard service contracts support the business from a protection, service and financial perspective
- Coordinates surveillance bug device sweeps of board rooms and other sensitive meeting rooms
- Maintains relationships with local and federal law enforcement partners as it pertains to emerging threats, emergency response and protection of AA facilities across the enterprise
- Develops and maintains AA’s Campus Security Standard Operating Procedures, post orders, security guard training and site-specific Emergency Response/Active Event Mitigation plans
- Conducts facility security assessments, vulnerability and physical security penetration tests
- Manages campus security projects as assigned
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience
- High School diploma or GED Equivalency
- 2 years of law enforcement or military experience
- Campus Security leadership experience
- Available for irregular schedules outside of normal business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice
- ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
- Licensed Personal Protection Officer (PPO)
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to perform both independently and as a team member, handle multiple assignments and respond efficiently to changing priorities
- Analytical skills, including the ability to assemble information, extract pertinent facts, draw logical conclusions, and present recommendations
- Ability to work in a confidential environment
- Attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
