SUMMARY
To increase the value and desirability of Ocean Reef Club membership and real estate by providing incomparable excellence in all services and facilities in the Ocean Reef Club community. Assists Director with the Golf Car Repair, Golf Cart Sales and Golf, Cart Storage. Under direction of Director, makes mechanical repairs on all makes and model golf cars. Responsible for daily operation of the department, implementation of golf car maintenance programs as they relate to the continuous operation of the Club owned fleet carts and the individual Member owned golf carts. Assists with personnel, paperwork, parts orders, inventory of parts and, all aspects of internal departmental decisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect and maintain the Ocean Reef Club Golf Carts fleet. The Golf Cart Repair areas must stay clean and properly maintained at all times, reporting and up to repairing any and all safety conditions. This position will require a combination of the following functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the club.
- Identifies and provides fleet services that address and satisfy customer needs and policy initiatives.
- Coordinate the sale of new golf carts.
- Assist team in the process of new golf cart sales.
- Order new Golf Carts for stock.
- Coordinate storage golf carts and delivery of storage golf carts.
- Coordinates fleet and facility maintenance programs.
- Assist in maintaining Ocean Reef Club Internal golf cats.
- Supervises all aspects of shop operations.
- Attend all designated manager meetings.
- Coordinates and schedules all departmental and member golf car repairs.
- Advises other departmental managers of golf car maintenance requirements.
- Prepare and present information concerning operational effectiveness and service levels to Director.
- Complete priority repairs.
- Attend and participate member guest activities and events.
- Responsible for the identification and management of any hazardous materials resulting for departmental operations.
- Keep all equipment clean and shop in operable condition, organizes and maintains shop facilities.
- Attend morning call meeting.
- Complies with procedures for all daily operations.
- Maintains accurate records of parts inventory and orders parts as needed.
- Maintains accurate records concerning all repairs.
- Maintains open dialog with department managers, members and vendors concerning all golf car repairs, maintenance services, and golf car part orders.
- Initiate interventions to solve issues in office and with customers.
- Must be willing to respond to emergencies after hours.
- Responsible for scheduling work for assigned associates.
Manager Responsibilities
- The Golf Cart Manager is responsible for the supervision of staff and the timely coordination of work within the framework of company policies.
- Review and administer daily work assignments with an emphasis on maintaining a rigid preventive maintenance program on Golf Carts.
- Overlook financial goals and set parameters to reach those financial goals
- Focus on improving Medallia customer serviced index numbers for Golf Cart Sales and Repairs.
- Managing staffing guidelines.
- Promote and inform staff of ORC promises
- Insuring all Ocean Reef Golf Carts are maintained properly and parts are ordered on a timely manner.
- Conduct morning line up meeting with staff.
- Attend manager meeting such as: COVID-19, Safety and Security, and other meetings.
- Conduct end of moth reports.
- Responsible for completion of assigned associate's yearly evaluations and other documentation such as accident reports and in a timely manner.
- Continually develop original and fresh techniques to enhance the maintenance process.
- Constantly enforce quality and safety standards among all Golf Cart associates.
- Develop and be accountable for a safety culture that creates a work environment with no injuries.
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures directed to increase departmental performances.
- Follow computerized management system and establish protocols.
- Educate and train associates on the proper use and car of equipment and other facilities.

- Determine and dispatch calls to the appropriate Cart Repair staff.
- Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program for all equipment and vehicles.
- Insure proper operation of all systems and equipment for the safety and comfort of all Guests/Members and associates.
- Insure a timely response to all maintenance requests.
- Insure all associates comply with the rules and regulations of the Ocean Reef Club.
- Insure all associates comply with local, state, federal rules and regulations.
- Insure all associates comply with established personal safety standards.
- Provide shift coverage for other Manager and associates in their absence due to vacation, days off, at times with no notice.
- Complete daily inspections of facilities and property.
- Ability to troubleshoot any Cart Repair issue that may arise during the day.
- Skilled in the use of related tools (including both hand and electric tools).
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping and kneeling.
- Ability to push and pull objects or material weighing up to 80 pounds.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders, working at height up to approximately 30 feet for extended periods of time, with ability to reach, often overhead.
- Ability to grasp, lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally waist high.
- Ability to deal with a number of problems requiring initiative and good judgment.
ยท Due to the nature of the business, the Manager will be required to perform other duties and special projects assigned by the Director.
- Ability to move and work throughout the club for the duration of the shift.
Education and/ or Experience
Minimum of a high school education preferred. Working knowledge of light and heavy equipment and electrical and gas golf cart and transportation vehicles. Knowledge and skills to repair all make and model golf carts. Knowledge and skills to use tools and operate special equipment used in golf car repair.
Language
Must be able to comprehend the English language and demonstrate the ability to express and exchange ideas through oral and written communication and convey detailed and/or important instructions accurately, loudly and/or quickly.
Mathematical Skills
Basic mathematical skills required.
Reasoning Ability
Must be able to set priorities. Must be able to recognize, handle and respect the confidentiality of certain information. Must possess the ability to meet deadlines and exercise initiative within allowed limits.
