Overview:
Manages the day-to-day operations of the Compensation Center of Excellence (CoE) in the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs for the Dartmouth Health system, which includes job documentation and evaluation, salary administration and performance management to contribute to the attraction, retention, motivation, and reward of employees.
For this position, we are seeking candidates who have previous direct experience in compensation roles.

Responsibilities:- Conducts job analysis to classify jobs and establish job descriptions. Ensures results are communicated to system member leaders. Oversees the maintenance of Dartmouth Health’s job description database, updating the job descriptions to include all pertinent information.
- Facilitates year over year market trend evaluation for jobs utilizing salary surveys and studies labor markets to determine compensation trends.
- Oversees equitable salary rates and ranges within the organization as compared to the labor market and peer organizations utilizing DH compensation philosophy, job analysis, and survey processes and makes recommendations regarding changes based on best practices and industry standards.
- Responsible for reviewing and updating compensation policies and practices, consistent with operational needs and ensures compliance with legal requirements. Provides training to System Member leaders to ensure compliance, alignment and consistency throughout the organization.
- Supports the VP Total Rewards in executive compensation strategies and initiatives.
- Prepares and collaborates with the VP of Total Rewards on annual wage budgets and presentations to System Member leaders. Authors quarterly wage updates for system members, proposing wage adjustments and program designs.
- Provides HR Development in training needs as it relates to pay for performance.
- Ensures the delivery of compensation services in conjunction with other Human Resources services.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Human Resource area or Business Administration or significant related experience with 5 years of Compensation experience required.
- Prefer 2-3 years of management experience.
- Must have a thorough working knowledge of compensation theory, techniques, and applicable laws which govern the function.
- Proven written, verbal and communication skills required.
- Must be able to think creatively, analytically and be detail oriented.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
