Bell Piney Flats Component Repair & Overhaul Department
Bring your technical experience, leadership ability, and business savvy to the Piney Flats Aircraft Services team as the Manager of Bell Piney Flats’ Component Repair & Overhaul (CR&O) Shop. You will be responsible for setting the vision and building the culture of the CR&O shop by interpreting and executing on business objectives, and maintaining and growing the CR&O per business expectations with projected growth year over year.
What You’ll Be Doing as Manager CR&O
+ Manage and administer the day-to-day CR&O activities to ensure all aspects of safety, quality, cost, and schedule are met.
+ Ensure full compliance with company, FAA, and other applicable regulations.
+ Achieve Bell and Textron safety established goals.
+ Coordinate cross-functionally to prioritize deliverables to meet the needs of the business.
+ Oversee upkeep of shop equipment, tools and cleanliness of workstations.
+ Review and validate CR&O budget with senior management.
+ Prepare and present performance status and execution reports as required.
+ Provide span time estimates for proposed projects.
+ Define and drive the strategic vision for assigned department.
+ Develop long-term strategies that drive growth and improve efficiency.
+ Ensure personnel and resource requirements are identified, validated, and allocated to the correct areas to ensure on-time completion of projects.
+ Lead and develop direct reports.
+ Reflect and promote Textron, Bell, and Piney Flats values and behaviors.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Skills You Bring to this Role
+ Familiarity with applicable regulations in FAR Chapter 145 and inspection methods/techniques used to determine airworthiness.
+ Full understanding of and ability to enforce compliance FAA regulations related to CR&O operations and 145 Repair Station Operations.
+ Experience in evaluating data and metrics to support capacity and headcount planning.
+ Ability to lead and develop cohesive teams.
+ Highly skilled in communication.
+ Proven ability to multitask in a high performing team culture environment.
+ Experience collaborating with dedicated, enthusiastic teams where differences in experiences, backgrounds, and ideas combined with a strong passion for our products take us above and beyond flight.
+ Ability to recruit, grow, develop and retain talent.
What You Need to be Successfu l
+ FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate required.
+ 10 years of hands-on aviation experience.
- Previous overhaul experience strongly preferred.
+ 3 years of management/supervisor responsibility in business operations, process management, customer support/service, manufacturing, or repair and overhaul services.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business or technical field preferred.
Physical Requirements
+ Ability to squat, sit, bend, stoop, and kneel as required for tasks.
+ Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
