Job SummaryResponsible for setting digital-first strategies and roadmaps for departments, units or divisions. Responsible for the implementation, deployment, and ongoing technical and end user support of approved digital communication systems. These systems vary in complexity from low to extremely complex. Establishes strategy and operational objectives and work plans. Responsible for managing, preparing, administering, and directing resources. Reviews and approves recommendations for functional programs. Establishes budgets and monitors adherence to approved budget. Applies functional and technical expertise to develop integrated and cross-functional strategic solutions to solve business needs and ensure that such processes fit within applicable policies and regulations
Work with Marketing stakeholders to deliver the technical solutions for well-designed customer journeys and efficient administrator user workflows.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF

Services include infrastructure, network, security, analytics, integration, application, and customer support services. These essential services support UCSF’s mission to care, heal, teach, and discover.Department Technology Solutions (DTS) resides within UCSF IT - Enterprise Systems and is committed to providing responsive and efficient professional services to its customer departments in support of their unique missions and goals. Department Technology Solutions is responsible for the strategic planning and the development of business and technology services capable of supporting a broad range of business needs and functions across campus and UCSF Health. The Manager, Digital Solutions reports into DTS and has responsibility for digital solutions project oversight, and end-user support for business units in the Campus Life Services (CLS) organization and other departments across UCSF. CLS is a division within Finance and Administrative Services (FAS) with over 800 employees in Housing, Transportation, Facilities, Sustainability, Family Services, Documents and Media, Retail, Conference Services, Arts and Events, Fitness and Recreation, and CLS Marketing committed to fulfilling its mission to support and enhance campus life and serve both the campus and neighboring community. The incumbent ensures that technical application and data architecture for all digital solutions deliverables are integrated within the UCSF IT technical environment.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with an emphasis in digital communications technologies or in a related field.Typically 2-5 years of experience managing an information technology organization.Strong knowledge and skills in financial and personnel management, including management techniques, guiding principles, relevant laws, policies, and best practices.Familiar with Poppulo, or similar cloud-based digital signage softwareFamiliar with Drupal, or similar enterprise open-source web platformFamiliar with Modo Labs, or other enterprise-scale campus or workplace appRequires strategic planning, marketing, and project management skills.Requires knowledge of digital communications including design, branding, media, applications and long and short-range strategic planningRequires strong knowledge and skills in brand management and digital accessibility policy implementation.Requires knowledge of business analysis functions.Proven critical thinking, persuasion/negotiation, mentoring, leadership/management, problem-solving, human resources policies, and procedures relating to management responsibilities.Demonstrated verbal and written communication, quantitative and analytical skills.Preferred QualificationsBroad knowledge of the organization, including its achievements, mission, vision, goals, policies, practices, infrastructure and current issues of concern.About UCSFThe University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is a leading university dedicated to promoting health worldwide through advanced biomedical research, graduate-level education in the life sciences and health professions, and excellence in patient care
