Location: De Pere, WI
Position Summary:
Develop, implement, and maintain safety and health procedures and programs to evaluate and reduce workplace related illnesses or injuries within the Dürr De Pere office, production areas, and satellite offices. Position will also evaluate safety issues and provide recommendations relating to our service employees working in the field.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure Federal and State DOT, EPA and OSHA regulatory agency compliance.
- Oversee performance in EH&S core values for operations on the site, manage the site EH&S systems and lead continuous improvement in EH&S.
- Partner with employees, supervisors and managers to support EH&S initiatives. Drive a positive safety culture amongst all employees.
- Implement environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
- Responsible for environmental reporting and record keeping including emission inventories, wastewater, TRI and Tier 2.
- Develop and conduct new hire safety and environmental orientations coordinating with other functional managers as appropriate.
- Assist the plant management in budgeting for EH&S activities.
- Effectively interact and maintain positive relationships with agencies, including plant inspections, permit and plan renewals and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate incident investigation and reporting processes and recommend corrective action.
- Surveys, compiles and analyzes data relating to occupational and environmental health issues such as chemical exposure, radiation, smoke, fumes, noise, temperatures, dusts, vapors, mists, gases, solvents, lighting and ergonomics which are known or suspected of being real or potential detriments to health.
- Organize and facilitate the monthly safety committee meetings.
- Supervision of workers' compensation administration.
- Maintains facility security systems.
- Develops and monitors emergency action plans.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 - 10 years of EHS program management experience in a MFG environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas and knowledge to appropriate levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply results effectively.
- Exercises independent judgment and initiative.
- Ability to multi task with minimal supervision.
- Technical working knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
