The Judge Group is seeking a Manager of Environmental Health and Safety for a full time opportunity with a Manufacturing client.
Fully Onsite in Narragansett, RI
The Environmental Health and Safety Manager is a key figure in leading the development and execution of comprehensive EHS programs. This role is pivotal in ensuring adherence to all relevant local and federal EHS regulations, driving site-specific initiatives, and fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the creation and implementation of health and safety protocols, ensuring alignment with governmental regulations.
- Conduct thorough compliance audits, risk evaluations, and safety assessments, recommending effective risk control measures.
- Oversee the procurement and management of safety and personal protective equipment, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
- Administer the site’s Industrial Hygiene program to maintain strict compliance.
- Facilitate the development and delivery of EHS educational modules for workforce training.
- Engage in meticulous incident investigations to pinpoint root causes and implement corrective and preventive strategies.
- Direct local ergonomic assessments, injury case management, and return-to-work initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership to cultivate a proactive approach to health and safety, leveraging data for trend analysis and system alignment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Health, or a related discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in EHS management within a manufacturing setting, including supervisory roles.
- Proficient in interacting across various organizational levels with ease.
- Team-oriented with the flexibility to accommodate a 24/7 operational schedule across multiple sites.
- Well-versed in RCRA, DOT, Tier 2, and TRI regulations, with relevant training and hands-on experience.
- Certification in Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene, or Safety is highly desirable.
- Strong technical acumen with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Power BI.
- In-depth understanding of EHS regulations and consensus standards, coupled with solid auditing skills.
- Proven leadership capabilities with experience in team building and motivational training.
