About the Job
The Manager is responsible for daily oversight and monitoring of the Financial Systems Department. Additionally, the Manager is responsible for maintaining metadata in financial accounting systems and maintenance of related processes and internal controls. The Manager liaisons with the Company's IT Department in respect to technical support. This position will support the implementation of Oracle Fusion Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM).

Schedule and Location:
- The position has a hybrid work schedule consisting of Tuesday through Thursday in the office. Monday and Friday provide the option to work remotely or from the office.
- This open role is located at our modern ten-story corporate headquarters in Spring, Texas.
- Ensure integrity of financial metadata in the financial systems.
- Responsible for systems administration for the Finance Department: Currently - Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning, Financial Data Management Enterprise Edition, Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning Business Suite General Ledger, Blackline and GLWand: Future - Oracle Fusion ERP and EPM.
- Liaison with the Company's IT department relative to technical support of financial accounting systems.
- Proactively identify process gaps in how the organization uses its financial systems and tools to recommend best practice, prevent recording and processing errors, and detect at-risk areas.
- Implement and maintain efficient processes for supporting ERP and EPM administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to annual plan, accounting codes and hierarchies, period close processes, and other assigned responsibilities.
- Actively serve as subject matter expert, mentor and trainer of ABS provided financial tools and systems.
- Maintain relationships with important vendors, service providers and business partners.
- Participate in cross functional and/or multi-jurisdictional teams and projects across the ABS organization as needed.
- Train, supervise, provide guidance, and coordinate the work of the financial staff while assuming accountability for service delivery.
- Collaborate within the ABS organization to identify and resolve business issues.
- Maintain an effective internal controls environment by ensuring that FSG Policy and Procedural Statements are adhered to in assigned area. Drive the finance department strategy by identifying and implementing innovative solutions and services to improve and simplify processes.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and/or certifications.
- Minimum 7 years managing administration of financial reporting systems and underlying metadata.
- General Accounting with an international company, including work in the areas of journal entries, accruals, translation, remeasurement, consolidations, reconciliation and account analysis.
- Experience administering a cloud-based ERP and EPM system, preferably Oracle Fusion. Project management experience preferred.
- Technically proficient with financial and accounting systems / software.
- Capacity to analyze, interpret, and report financial data.
- Ensures high quality of work delivered by the team to keep commitments and achieve departmental goals.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to various levels of personnel including senior management and external providers.
- Propensity to continually improve existing processes and systems to add value to the organization.
- Excellent managerial skills in team development, organization, planning and implementation.
