GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Manager, Financial Analysis and Reporting will design, implement, and maintain an efficient and structured reporting process to inform Executive Leadership of relevant financial information required for successful long-term strategy decisions. This role will drive managerial decision making by reporting on trends in operational data and market data of peers. This role will provide day to day leadership over all FP&A deliverables while helping drive transformational change of FP&A capabilities through internal assessment exercises, process integration, developing future state requirements, and ultimately implementing, as needed, a suite of tools to support advanced financial analysis and integrated planning approximating or equivalent to “best-in-class”.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Oversee and design Board level financial and variance analysis reporting, including primary responsibility for ensuring accuracy, relevant content, and informed analysis. Strive to continuously improve reporting structure and ad-hoc reporting capabilities
2. In conjunction with Strategy Analytics, oversee development of Annual Planning process, with emphasis on continuous process improvement and more informative financial analysis
3. Work closely with Executive Leadership Team to develop confidence in 5-year planning cycle and forecast that supports long-term strategic operational decisions and capital allocation implications
4. Collaborate with various departments to develop G&A / Capex budgets, conduct variance research as it pertains to performance drivers
5. Assist in driving improvements for the business by framing management decisions in response to performance and market trends.
6. Recommend incentive metrics that demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of financial results, key performance indicators, and business drivers that will embody the potential of the business over a relevant short-term or long-term time frame
7. Proactively work to meet anticipated needs of the business by partnering with other departments on various reporting and campaign initiatives
8. Identify and recommend different reporting formats to best deliver results
9. Partner with Accounting, Technology Services and other departments to set up information flows to produce automated reports
10. Work to understand and create efficiencies across all team processes to ensure the team is aligned to meet the current and future needs of the business
11. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Broad knowledge of such fields as finance, marketing, business administration… Equivalent to a four-year college degree, plus 5-7 years related experience and/or training, including 2 years of related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Software/Preferred Skills
• Intermediate to Advanced: Presentation/PowerPoint, Spreadsheet/Excel
• Understanding of financial reporting and Planning software (Example EPM Cloud (Hyperion), Workday, Anaplan, etc.)
• Ability to build and manage complex financial models
• Knowledge of Excel functions including, but not limited to: If/Then, V/H/XLookups, Index/Match, etc.
• Microsoft SQL Server knowledge is a plus
