Manager: Health Information Management (HIM)

Western US

As the Health Information Management (HIM) Manager, you will oversee the planning, development, and management of all health information functions within the facility. Your responsibilities include supervising staff, managing daily operations such as coding and medical transcription, and ensuring financial objectives are achieved. You will also be responsible for the secure release of patient information in various formats, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and privacy laws. In addition to developing and implementing policies, you will provide education and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This position reports directly to the Director of Revenue Cycle.

Type of Work: Full time, Onsite

The ideal candidate will have:

• Associate degree, required, Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Administration,
• 5+ years of Health Information Management experience in a hospital or clinic setting, required
• 1-2+ years of supervisory experience in a hospital or clinic setting,
• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA),
• Expert in information privacy laws/HIPPA law with, access, release of information and release control technologies,
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal that include effective presentation skills to a variety of audiences,
