Position Summary:
The Manager, Human Resources will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources department including employee relations, policy enforcement, pay & benefits, and performance management.
Responsibilities:
- Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
- Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Lead and manage a team, including responsibility for planning and managing work priorities, performance of duties, achievement of initiatives, and budgeting, and provides direction and directives to direct report. Provide regular and ongoing feedback, including conducting performance conversations with direct reports.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Oversees all employee benefit programs such as medical, disability, retirement and other supplement benefits the company has to offer and help employees resolve all benefit-related issues in an effective and timely manner.
- Provides effective counsel on disciplinary action and other performance management needs.
- Provides consistent and effective counsel to employees in response to questions or concerns.

- Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- A minimum of 3 years proven experience in a similar role with at least 5 years in Human Resources
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification required
- Experience with ADP highly preferred
- Excellent HR administration and people management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of labor legislation
- Good understanding of the full recruitment process
- Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
- Hours are generally Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. As operational deliverable deadlines emerge there will likely be extended working hours.
- Light work requiring exertion up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- Ability to work from La Vista, NE office with reliable and predictable attendance.
