As the Manager, Learning and Development you will partner with business leaders to create and deliver training and performance support materials. What you'll do on a typical day:
- Partner with the business group and the Learning and Development (L&D) team to understand the strategic plans and learning gaps
- Lead large scale and complex start-up learning support and implementation effort from E2E
- Deliver scalable solutions for future use at existing operations across the company
- Lead training events and/or teach trainers to cascade the information in a consistent and effective way
- Provide train-the-trainer support for field training team.
- Coordinate the ongoing administration of allocated programs to ensure quality, consistency and continuity; investigate opportunities to make improvements
- Research, monitor and evaluate training programs to keep content current with instructional effectiveness and value; revise programs as needed
- Plan and direct schedules to complete learning projects on time and within budget
- Ensure project status tracking is accurate, comprehensive and addresses issues and risks
- As needed, facilitate classroom-based and virtual training programs in an engaging manner and able to relate classroom materials to real-world situations.
At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 5 years of experience in development, production and/or delivery of training, preferably in a corporate environment
- Recent, direct experience with the latest, most effective learning technologies, program designs and virtual, mobile and digital learning platforms
- Demonstrated track record of introducing and driving innovative programs that lead to tangible and measurable results
- Knowledge of learning principles and methods for designing training programs and curricula, instructing individuals and groups, media-based learning and measuring training effectiveness
- Fundamental experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS); effective use of and experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Professional
- Availability to travel up to 25% - 50% of the time
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, IO Psychology or Human Resources
- Project management or L&D certifications
- Experience with Cornerstone LMS
- Solid research and problem-solving skills
- Ability to motivate change and get results in a very large, dispersed organization
