The People Services team supports GXO Logistics by administering and delivering superior HR service to employees, managers, and stakeholders.
The Manager, Leave Administration is a member of the People Services Tier 3 Service Center team and their primary role is to provide technical, functional, and regulatory oversight of GXO's leave of absence program including medical, military, and, medical leaves of absence at the highest level of accuracy to support data integrity throughout the company's HRIS systems and create a positive employee experience.

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Manage the daily operations of the Leave Third Party Administrator (TPA)
- Lead, develop, and motivate the performance of the Leave Administration specialist(s) to perform day-to-day functions, manage escalations, and coordinate resolution efforts with Third Party Leave Provider
- Analyze Leave TPA performance levels, and recommend enhancements to policies
- Set, execute, and measure Leave Administration performance goals and support efforts to continuously improve and grow the function
- Analyze SLA/OLA metrics and consult with leadership team to set recommendations to improve function's operational efficiency and improved client service delivery model
- Collaborate and consult with colleagues and HR peers to support growth and operational efficiencies within the HR function
- Lead the design and implementation of new LOA policies and programs
- Ensure all leave processes are documented and adhere to policy and compliance standards
- Participate on People Services Leadership team to assist in defining overall strategy, development opportunities, and employee engagement
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 5 years of experience in leave administration, with a strong emphasis on vendor management, customer service, continuous improvement, and compliance monitoring
- Experience managing multiple priorities, thinking tactically as well as strategically, demonstrating objectivity, delivering results, and taking initiative
- Experience in managing people in teams within a dynamic environment
- Experience with federal, state, and local leave and disability laws (ADA, FMLA, etc.)
- Experience with HR and payroll systems, such as SuccessFactors or similar.
- Strong base of analytical skills to continuously find new ways to increase data collection and processing efficiency
- Computer proficiency is a must including various systems and applications
- Quick learner, focused attention to detail, ability to work independently yet not hesitant to ask questions/for help
- Proven customer focus and ability to communicate effectively
- Experience with partnering with third party Leave providers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure with constant deadlines
- Ability to manage high volume of work and lead and adapt to change
- CEBS, SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP Certification
- Outstanding project management skills, ability to work independently and prioritize/organize workload to consistently meet deadlines
