Manager-Logistics & Supply Chain Optimization & Modeling. at National Gypsum

National Gypsum Services Company has an immediate opening for a Manager Logistics & Supply Chain Optimization position at our Charlotte, NC location.  This position will report to the Director Logistics &Supply Chain.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive):

• Gather data, analyze information and develop supply chain models to identify opportunities and drive efficiencies within National Gypsum logistics and supply chain.
• Own Network Analysis to include Inventory and Sourcing Strategies
• Develop demand and supply sourcing optimization models, using linear programming techniques and/or Supply Chain Design software to solve for lowest delivered cost, highest profit, etc.
• Work with demand management, customer service, logistics, supply chain process managers and plants on monitoring inventory turns, and lead focused inventory turn improvement efforts.
• Participate in Logistics, Inventory and Supply Planning processes.
• Participate in design and improvement of future [to be] logistics and supply chain analytics/metrics, including alerts and exception reporting and dashboards.
• Create compelling logistics and supply chain presentations to enhance decision making capabilities throughout the company.
• Support logistics team with master data management, and all other duties as assigned by Director of Logistics and Supply Chain
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/KEY ATTRIBUTES :

• At least 5 years of experience in supporting logistics and supply chain.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Supply Chain, Operations Management or similar field
• Supply Chain Network Design Experience with experience with network modeling tools.
• Strong passion for answering complex business questions using rigorous data analysis.
• Can demonstrate expertise in analytical tools and hands on use of query tools
• Ability to transfer model outputs/ideas/concepts to Powerpoint presentation format and conduct presentations up to executive level to influence acceptance of modeling outputs.
• Experience with Alteryx
• Statistical and financial modeling experience
• Detail oriented, but also understands opportunities at the highest level.
• Ability to work in teams, participate in cross-functional improvement efforts
• Demonstrated knowledge of industry practices and current trends;.
• Able to grasp new technical concepts quickly
• Adaptable, comfortable with new approaches.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with individuals at all levels within the company.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Implementation and support Experience with SAP or another major ERP system
• Implementation and support experience with major Transportation Management System
• Domestic travel up to 10%
• Hybrid eligible
