Purpose:
As the Manger, Maintenance and Warehouse, you will be primarily responsible for the oversight and management of the Maintenance Team as well as the operational management of the warehouse. This role includes full accountability for people management, including hiring, training, performance management, and development of the maintenance team. The Manager will collaborate closely with peers to ensure that all maintenance work is completed on time, within budget, and meets quality and safety standards and KPIs. The Manager will also be responsible for ensuring safety compliance, providing safety training, and managing the maintenance team's fleet of vehicles.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Warehouse Operation Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and warehouse operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely completion of projects while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies by implementing safety training programs, conducting regular audits, and addressing any safety incidents promptly.
- Manage warehouse operations, including inventory control and maintenance of materials, tools, and equipment to support field operations, including engaging with outside vendors to do so.
- Develops maintenance procedures and evaluates on-going facilities systems; provides appropriate instruction for safe work.
- Monitor and manage budgets for maintenance and warehouse operations, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and overseeing the maintenance of the fleet of vehicles.
- Regularly review key performance indicators, identify gaps, and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency and achieve departmental goals.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the broader Facilities department to inform maintenance team scheduling and project management.
- Execute maintenance work orders in accordance with maintenance procedures with respect to work methods, resource requirements, materials and established scheduling deadlines when needed.
Team Management:
- Lead and manage the maintenance team, including hiring, training, performance management, and fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for preparing and communicating weekly schedules to maintenance technicians for restaurant visits and special maintenance work needs to meet scheduling deadlines; adjust schedules to accommodate for urgent work when needed.
- Provides specific guidance and work instruction for special maintenance work needs to ensure timely, completion of work in line with safe work, maintenance procedures, and minimal disruption to the restaurant operation.
- Inspects facilities to ensure standards are met, identify and resolve issues, and strive for maintenance team continuous improvement initiatives.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
- 10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years of experience leading a team.
- Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience required.
- Proven expertise in team leadership and safety compliance.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement in maintenance and warehouse operations environment.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with high quality standards.
- Work a 5 Day/40-hour work week with management-approved flex schedule.
- Must be available to work midnights, off hours to accomplish some maintenance tasks.
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds, be able to bend and crawl.
- Must be able to and be comfortable in the use of an extension ladder up to 25 feet.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be on call after hours and emergency calls within a weekly rotation depending on number of restaurants and crew size. Current on call rotation is about every 8-9 weeks
